Top 10 Excuses Why I Have Not Updated the Blog:
- Sam keeps me infinitely busy during any given day.
- I had been watching Sam and Claire, which took up a lot of time and needed a lot of recovery time on days when I was only watching one baby.
- It has been so nice outside that going on walks took precedence over blog posts.
- Sam is teething, thus, napping has been more of a challenge, as has his mood on some days.
- I have been playing a time warp of a video game called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that has been eating my free time.
- I've been getting back into reading, and got lost in several Dan Brown novels.
- They have all the episodes of The Wire on demand with Comcast...
- The group I sing with, Boston Choral Ensemble, had their last run of concerts in the end of May/early June, as well as an encore performance in late June. I wasn't singing this cycle, but I am in charge of marketing for the organization, and there was a lot to be done. We did sell out all three shows though!
- Learning and re-learning music for 2 upcoming musicals (You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and Legally Blonde: The Musical) and a friend's wedding.
- Procrastination.
Anyways, I am back now, and I promise I won't let the site lag for so long again! Still figuring out how to self-motivate while at home with my boy. I declare my independence from procrastination today, and will try to do better :)
It has been a year today since we announced to our group of friends that Elizabeth was expecting our first child, and our world has been one constant roller coaster since. I have loved almost every minute of it, and all of the changes have been exciting ones. To celebrate, the three of us went out to Legal Seafood in Burlington and had a very similar meal to our last meal at the restaurant, which was January 16th. Sam was born the following morning.
Over the next few weeks I plan on doing more regular smaller posts about some of the stories and advice I have run across since my last post. Longer posts are great and all, but if your attention span is anything like mine, after 1 or 2 paragraphs, the skimming begins. With that I will wrap this up, and there will be new pictures posted on the photo wall as well. All the best, my friends, and you will hear more from me soon.
