Obligate Nasal Breathing - The medical term describing someone who must breathe out of their nose instead of their mouth. It can also refer to one who prefers nose breathing to mouth breathing, such as babies. This is due to a babies lack of muscle control, as well as its very narrow air passages. Babies can breathe through their mouths if they have to, but usually only in cases of crying or severe congestion.
